Steps to a Successful Site
Having a successful site is more than just
generating code and waiting for web traffic. Successful sites follow
a process like any other marketing tool. We have listed
below important steps which will help in the creation and ultimately
the success of your web project:
First, set your goals. Decide on your target audience and
goals. What type of visitor/customer are you trying to reach and with what
message? What do you want them to actually do? (Learn about

Plan the marketing of your website. How will people learn
about your site and be motivated to visit? A site is only
successful if it attracts a qualified audience.
Marketing involves two main areas. One area encompasses the
activities you will do outside of the site, such as publishing
your domain name on all marketing materials, a mailing,
or setting up an affiliate program to advertise your company
on other sites.
The Second area is the site itself, which can impact
the content. You want your site designed so that it has the
best chances of being picked up in the search engines. You
want people to stay on your site once they find you.
Develop a list of keywords -- 255 characters maximum. We will

want to embed these in the copy on the main page. The search
engines pick up metatags and keywords and thus help direct
people to your site. Also, we'll need a one-line description
(70 characters maximum) to submit to the search engines for
when they display your site name. Be sure to include your most
important keywords.
Execute your plans. Now it’s time for us to design, build

Monitor, update, and adapt. Use the reports generated from
our Monthly Reporting to analyze the site’s performance.
Update your site’s contents as appropriate. Add new sections
or change pages according to your marketing strategy and what
you learn in the monthly reporting.
